Why is Terry still captain?

So let me get this straight: Terry racially abused Anton Ferdinand, was fined £220,000 and banned for four domestic games….and is still the captain of Chelsea.

To be honest, I am pretty shocked that Terry is still playing for Chelsea at all.

Many thought that after the dark days of the late 1900’s racism was something that was just not present in English football any more. Fast forward to 2012 and it seems like nothing has changed. First Luis Suarez and now John Terry, it seems like the situation is becoming even worse.

Nevertheless, it seems that Suarez’s case was dealt with how it should’ve been, he was banned for 8 games (twice as many as Terry) and is now a public hate figure……….

Terry’s case just baffles me, how in the world is he still captain? It’s not like this is the first time Terry has done something disgraceful (I have a feeling it won’t be the last) and surely it must be time to call it a day.

I know Terry is a good player but being a captain is a lot more than that. You have to inspire people off the field as well as on it and being a racist is not what I would call inspiring….. And its not like there is nobody to replace him, Frank Lampard, Peter Cech heck even Mikel would be a better option.

Seriously Chelsea, I think you need to get your priorities straight.
